RESULTS YOU LOVE PERFORMANCE VS APPEARANCE There are two main categories for exercise science and sports nutrition – performance and appearance. Performance is when the focus is on the activity like running, swimming, soccer or another performance sport. Appearance focuses on body fat reduction and muscle development, and is more for models, actors or those in a photo shoot or competition, or specific look. Most training certificates are for functional training, which focuses on exactly what it says. These trainers are for someone with the goal to function and that goal does not focus on appearance or performance sciences with food or exercise. If a person is training with a trainer two to four times a week and not seeing the weight loss or performance goals they want, they may be working with a trainer who is only versed in functional training. In 26 years of working with people from dierent demographics and goal types, I’ve never used any weight loss pills or any other substance that stimulates the body to do something. I help a person master definition with their given metabolism type, then develop their muscular system for a desired fitness look, increased metabolic rate and customized nutrition plan to match the new lifestyle. Everyone is dierent. Just handing someone a food list to follow for three months can help anyone lose weight, but it teaches them nothing about their metabolic profile and hinders the process of living in that new body. The stats prove this. People are losing weight, but they are failing at a lifestyle change. Only about 10-25% of the population is mastering a lifelong habit of exercise. And out of that percentage, 75% of the people are not reaching the goal they want. The number one thing people spend money on is weight loss or health, so we know people want to succeed at it. I have hardworking clients who train at home, the gym or both. They get excellent results and save time because we are creating the personal formula. One of the girls in my fitness model program split out her quads in the first four months with only training at home and no cardio and now she has muscle splits coming out in her glutes, and she is doing no cardio. I have many clients I’ve taken o cardio because it is not necessary when you properly develop the muscular system for some people. A custom formula saves time and money.
