None of this work happens without compassionate people stepping forward to help their neighbors. Every effort starts with people like you. Day in and day out, Red Cross volunteers ensure help is available in their communities – and ensure it’s delivered with heart. HERE’S FOUR WAYS THAT YOU CAN GET INVOLVED: VOLUNTEER: The Red Cross is seeking volunteers throughout Palm Desert and the Coachella Valley to assist with disaster response, community outreach and other vital services. All experience levels, interests and schedules are welcome, and all training is provided. Learn more at redcross.org/ VolunteerToday. DONATE: The Red Cross is proud that an average of 90 cents of every dollar spent is invested in providing care and comfort for people in need. Individual, corporate financial donations and event sponsorships can be made by contacting Avery W. Bell, Regional Philanthropy Officer, continued on page 47
