I deeply appreciate the power nonprofits wield to profoundly change lives when they have the resources to successfully advance their mission. So, in my “freshman” year as a Barker Foundation trustee, I enthusiastically look forward to carrying on the generous legacy of Coeta and Donald to support the critical community service nonprofits provide to our desert community. CHRISTINA SALDIVAR 29 PSP Chief Fundraising Officer Making A Di erence Serving others has always been at the heart of my life. As a board member of 29-PSP, I am honored to help connect active-duty military members and their families with free transportation between the Twentynine Palms Marine Corps Base and regional airports. I support fundraising, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and event planning to ensure our mission continues to grow. I believe that when a community comes together to serve, lives are strengthened, burdens are eased, and every act of kindness creates a lasting impact for those who serve our nation. JAMIE SHINE The Steady Climb Founder Making A Di erence My life experiences taught me what it means to survive instability, trauma, and the absence of safe support. Over time, recovery, education, and personal growth helped me rebuild my confidence, my health, and my sense of purpose. Those experiences shaped my commitment to helping others who feel lost, alone, or overlooked. I started The Steady Climb to support youth and young adults returning home from juvenile detention or other system involvement, especially those who need steady guidance, emotional safety, and connection to real resources and hope as they begin again.
