WATSONVILLE YOUTH CENTER SUMMER HOURS Grades 6-12 June 8-August 11 M-TH11AM–6PM| Friday 12–9PM Saturday 2–9PM All summer long the Youth Center will offer exciting daily programs packed with fun, creativity and adventure. From cooking classes and art projects (including painting our Youth Center 4th of July float!) to fitness in the Jungle Gym, music, basketball, soccer, volleyball and other court sports, there’s something for everyone. Youth will also swim weekly at Watsonville High pool and enjoy field trips to the beach, hiking trails, the Boardwalk, and other great spots. SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER BBQ AND PARTY Friday, June 5 | 3–6 PM | Grades 6-12 Come celebrate the end of school with music, food and a party! We’ll have a live DJ, BBQ, a party-like atmosphere and everything you will need to know about what’s happening throughout the summer to fill your calendar! YOUTH APPRECIATION DAY Friday, July 24 | 4–6 PM | All Ages The Asset of the Month for July is “Community Values Youth.” Join us as adult members of the community share their acknowledgement and appreciation for the difference YOU are making in our community! We will have special awards, delicious food and live music! SECOND ANNUAL CHEF OF STEEL COMPETITION Friday, August 7| 1–6 PM | Grades 6-12 FREEwith Passport to Fun Membership Months and years of training has come down to this: Three courses created and presented by teams of 2-3 to win prizes and reign supreme as the Second Annual Chef of Steel champion.
